Privacy Policy
WorksTho ("we", "us") is an AI tool that gives practical fixes for everyday problems, operated by Clendon Biscette. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. If you don't agree with it, please don't use the service.
What we collect
- Account details — if you sign up: your email, an optional display name, and (optionally) your region. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
- Location— only if you tap "Use my location" (approximate location from your browser) or type a region yourself. It's used solely to tailor suggestions to where you are. We don't track your location in the background.
- Your searches— the problems you enter are sent to our AI provider to generate fixes, and are stored so results can be cached and shared. Don't enter sensitive personal information you wouldn't want processed or stored.
- Saved fixes — the fixes you choose to save.
- Technical & usage data — a hashed form of your IP address (never the raw IP) for rate limiting and abuse prevention, plus standard analytics about how the site is used.
How we use it
- To run the service and generate, cache, and show you fixes.
- To tailor suggestions to your region.
- To enforce fair-use limits and prevent abuse.
- To understand usage and improve the product.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run WorksTho, and share only what's needed:
- Supabase — authentication and database (your account, saved fixes).
- OpenAI — processes the problem you enter to generate fixes.
- Google — optional sign-in, and Google Analytics.
- Vercel — hosting and basic traffic analytics.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies to measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser, though sign-in won't work without the essential ones.
AI-generated content
Fixes are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. Always use your judgment and check anything with real risk before acting. See our Terms of Service.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data — including deleting your account — by emailing hello@workstho.com.
Children
WorksTho isn't intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
