Real talkIf the splinter is deep or near sensitive skin, this can hurt and might not get everything out on the first try.
Bill of materials
- A needle
- Tweezers
- Rubbing alcohol or soap and water
- A bandage
Assembly
- 1Wash your hands and the area around the splinter.
- 2Sterilize the needle by wiping it with rubbing alcohol or heating it and letting it cool.
- 3Gently use the needle tip to lift the splinter out enough to grab with tweezers.
- 4Grab the splinter with tweezers and pull it out in the same direction it went in.
- 5Clean the area again and cover with a bandage if needed.
⚠ Stop and see a doctor if the splinter is deep, very painful, or shows signs of infection.
